17 – Only our Father in heaven knows when Lord Jesus is returning! Are you ready?

Our Lord Jesus says that nobody knows when He is returning only His Father. Not even Lord Jesus Himself knows when He is coming back. What do these words mean to you? How do they make you feel?

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”(Matthew 24:36) Lord Jesus also tells us “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.” (Matthew 7:21)

Many Christians I have met all over the world have been far more concerned about what church I go to, than whether I am working every day to obey my heavenly Father through Lord Jesus. Following the instructions I have received from prayer, I have often gone to churches, during my concert tours all over the world, where people have never met me before.

I have come into a service and afterwards the only question I have usually been asked is “What church do you belong to”? In the beginning I was very shocked about this, but it has happened so often all over the world, that it is like “water off a duck’s back” now.

There is no place I have found where Lord Jesus says I will get “into the Kingdom” from the particular church I go to. I have found many Christians I have met are not interested in the slightest in talking about what our Father, Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit expect, or have helped them to achieve, they have only been interested in talking about their church and what the church does.

I haven’t found a place where Lord Jesus speaks about a church getting into the “Kingdom”! I know it is really important to engage with our Lord Jesus in our daily life, almost as if our life depends on it, which really it does! If Lord Jesus appeared at your door in the next ten minutes, would you talk to Him about what church He is going to?
