46 – Make a special time to “be still” and know God more intimately every day!

When you sit and watch certain sporting events, you will often see the coach on the sidelines putting his hands in the air and making a “T” with his fingers. What is he saying to the umpires and his team? Most people who play certain sports or watch them know very well what this “T” sign means. It means “time out”! As soon as the coach does this, all of the players come over to the side lines to huddle around the coach and hear what they have to say.

Is it possible to imagine doing this with God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit? I believe this could be very helpful right now to many Christians to have this as a sign to stop and take “time out” to spend talking and listening to our God. If we all take “time out” a lot more regularly alone and where “two or more are gathered in His name, this would make an enormous difference to not only our own lives, but to the lives of many. Many people have personal coaches to help them in different ways. Who better could we have to “coach” us, teach us, guide us, love us, provide us with all of the help we need than our Father in heaven, our Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit? Lord Jesus says “Ask and you will receive”.

Are we taking time out with our God who leaves any worldly coach behind? If not, how much are we missing out on, if we do not spend our own special time in stillness with the living God? It is also wonderful to take time out to spend with a small group of fellow Christians who can help support us, challenge us, bring exciting new testimonies to share about what God is doing in their lives and even more.

You can have as I do, a very small group of people, even across the world, who pray together on Zoom or other platforms. You can have gatherings in “the name of Jesus” and ask anything of Him. Where only “two or more are gathered” in His name He comes to be with us in our midst. My husband William and I started these gatherings with our own children years ago and now we have them with dear Christian friends across the world.

Those who belong to our tiny group are being very blessed with healings, new pathways for our lives and so much it would take way too long to talk about in one message to you. If you do not have a fellowship group I highly recommend asking some Christian friends to join with you to start your own fellowship group where you can talk about anything and everything. Over time, as Lord Jesus will come as soon as “two or more” are gathered in His name, being together becomes like an adventure that nothing compares to!

I pray you will take action upon this idea of having a wonderful creation of your own tiny Christian fellowship group. I pray this will bring great joy, life changing experiences and the finding of ever deepening friendships through Jesus. The biggest bonus of all, is the help that will come to keep developing your own ever deepening relationship with our Father, Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

God bless you and look forward to sharing our next ‘Breaky with Jesus’ together, love Kelly Newton-Wordsworth
