Lord Jesus says that He is “the WAY, the Truth and the LIFE” and that nobody “comes to the Father” except through Him. (John 14:6) What do these words mean to you? When I first became a Christian in 1995, as I was reading the words that Lord Jesus spoke over 2,000 years ago, which are recorded in the Gospels in the Holy Bible, a “fire” was lit in me.

Before becoming a Christian, I had argued for years with so many Christians about Lord Jesus being the “only” way through to God. After the huge spiritual transformation that happened to me in 1995 when I said the “prayer of repentance”, asked God for forgiveness and gave my life up to serve Lord Jesus, I then found myself repenting quite a number of times and feeling ashamed that I had been so arrogant and so wrong in what I had been saying to Christians.

Once I experienced the reality of the living, true and real Lord Jesus, I knew with every molecule of my ‘self’ that Lord Jesus IS the way, the truth and the LIFE. I also know that we can’t reach God the Father except through Him. I know this. I do not just blindly believe this. I experienced something so life changing I can never go back to the way I was before having this experience.

I have been so shocked at times at the level of arrogance I had towards Christians who were telling me “the truth” that Lord Jesus IS “the Truth”! I had NO idea of what they were saying until I surrendered everything in the prayer of repentance I said during the Alpha course, with Nicki Gumble, out of Holy Trinity Brompton, in 1995, which was the course that led me to repenting to God for all of my sins and then asking Him for His forgiveness. I am forever grateful for this moment in my life beyond what any words could say!`

How much time did I waste arguing that Lord Jesus isn’t the only way to God? So much! I am still so shocked all these years later that I believed I was so right going down the path I was on in the new age movement, which kept leading me on and on in a maze that never let me out! I never found my way to the end of the maze! It was only Lord Jesus who brought me out of the maze of the world, or “mammon” as He calls it!

As I repented of my sins before God through Lord Jesus, it felt like my sin was sucked out of me by a giant vacuum cleaner in Heaven! I then felt like I was on a mountain top with a rainbow over my head standing in such a pure and beautiful place that it felt like I was in a time warp in the days before there was any pollution!

This was such a huge and life changing experience, it is with me forever. I know so deeply to my core that Lord Jesus is REAL and He truly IS the way to “our Father who is in heaven”(Lord’s Prayer Luke 11:2-5)! I used to argue with so many Christians that there were many pathways to God and I was on all of them! How could this even be possible? This was a delusion from the devil, whom Lord Jesus calls the “father of lies”.

The new age movement is full of the devil’s lies. If you have friends caught up in this movement, please let them know to contact me, as I understand deeply where they are “coming from” and have experienced the entrapment of the never ending enticement of the ‘new age’ world. Lord Jesus truly is the “WAY” to our Father in heaven and He is the ONLY way out of the false world.

The fire that giving my life to Lord Jesus and then reading His life changing words built in me is now huge and gets bigger every day. The fire started to grow bigger and bigger as I was reading the Gospels and asking Lord Jesus every question I had straight away “as a child” asking their teacher to help me to understand what He was talking about. He said that unless we come as a “child”, we will not get into the “Kingdom”. (Matthew 18:3)

He also said we will not get into the Kingdom unless we DO “His Father’s will”. (Matthew 7:21) When I read these words I started asking Him what I have to do to make sure I am doing His Father’s will. I was well aware from my journeys into the “new age” movement that in the spiritual realms there are demons and the devil himself. I discovered that not only does God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit speak, but the devil and demons also speak. So how can you make sure that you are really hearing from God?

When you know that Lord Jesus says that “Heaven and earth shall pass away” but HIS words will never pass away (Matthew 24:35) this shows us how important EVERY word Lord Jesus spoke when He was walking and talking on this earth is! We must take His words so seriously that we know to our very core that His words are bigger than “heaven and earth”!

Have you ever really considered this? When He says that we will not get into the Kingdom unless we do the “will of His Father”, He is not joking! My life changed dramatically when Lord Jesus answered my question as to what to do to be able to truly do His Father’s will.

When I discovered that He said, “Where two or three” are gathered in His name, He comes and is here with us in “our midst”, this changed the way that I lived forever more. (Matthew 18:20) I realised that when I was asking our Father what He wants me to do for Him I can pray with one or two other Christians and He will answer because our Lord Jesus comes and is right there with us!

Lord Jesus is the “way” straight through to our Father, so when we gather together with “two or three”, He comes to us and then takes our questions to our Father straight through to Him. Wherever Lord Jesus is, the devil can not be anywhere near Him in that moment! Lord Jesus said that the “prince of this world has been overcome”. (John 14:30) However to live in the victory that Lord Jesus has won for all people, we must be coming with Him in all ways.

He says that if we “love Him” we will obey His commands, of which there are many. If we don’t even know what He said how can we be obeying His commands? Of course we can not be obeying Him if we have no idea of what He said when He was walking on this earth over 2,000 years ago.

Since I became a Christian in 1995, I have been speaking to Lord Jesus every day, asking Him about His commands and for help to obey them. At first this was not easy, but the more I have turned to Him every day to ask Him for help, the more I have come to know Him. He is my greatest friend. He helps me EVERY day. He has NEVER LET ME DOWN! Not EVER!

If you are interested in being in an ongoing relationship with Him, you must start to talk with Him every day. You need to set aside time to do this. You also can speak with Him internally at any moment. The main thing is that you take His commands deadly seriously and keep asking Him, what He means, what He expects and so on.

There are 86,400 seconds in every day, I have been learning from Lord Jesus since the moment I surrendered my life to serve Him and then started to read His precious words that He spoke over 2,000 years ago which are recorded in the Gospels.

He has given me so many “tips” as to what to do to help myself in having a deeper relationship with Him. He has also helped me to find out what I have to do to be able to obey His Father and be filled with the Holy Spirit. He says that His burdens are “light and His yoke is easy”. (Matthew 11:28-30) Even though He says that His burdens are “light” and His yoke is “easy” this does not mean that we are to do virtually nothing in a day.

When He says that if we love Him we will “obey” His commands, this is not just easy to do. This requires great attention and caring every minute of every day. He has helped me to understand this state of “being” to truly place the Almighty God to be number ONE in my life. The world is so full of distractions, how does any person do this? Lord Jesus says that the number one commandment is to “love the Lord your God with ALL of your heart, your mind, your soul and strength”. (Luke 10:27) He of course is NOT joking! How easy is it to do this?

I have been a self appointed disciple of Lord Jesus for over a quarter of a century. I would love to share with you over time what He has given to me. This has been a great deal of work for me on a daily basis. The greatest work that is possible on this earth apart from doing our Father’s will.

This is an ongoing journey as He continues to answer my questions every day. There is a body of work He has led me to that spans back since 1995. Lord Jesus came to my husband William some years ago and showed Him that He is “raising me up to help Christians all over the world, have the ‘life in abundance’ which He has come to bring, but very few Christian in this world have”. In August 1988 I read a sentence in a book by author Eileen Caddy, the founder of Findhorn that changed my life forever. The words I read were not exactly as they are written in the Gospels, but at that moment in my life they were written perfectly just for me! Due to the way these words sprang off the page to me, I was able to do something that I know God is wanting from every human being on the earth. He wants us for Himself! He wants us to serve Him, to obey His every command and live the greatest life that is possible for us to live!

The words I read changed my mind therefore my life changed. The words in front of me in this life changing moment were, “Jesus said that if we will obey God we can do what He did and even greater things”! At that particular moment in my life I wanted to be a “healer”. I was very caught up in the new age movement and wanted to be able to help people, but I did not know Lord Jesus as I do today. One thing I did know about Him though was that He is the greatest healer that I had ever heard about in the history of the world!

So I realised that these words from Lord Jesus were telling me that if I would “obey God” then I could heal people like He did and do even “greater things” than He did! I was in a state of complete awe and wonder! These words were the most amazing words I had ever read in my life up to that moment! I had never heard anything like this and I moved very quickly to take action about these words.

In the moment of reading His words for the first time, it was as if time stood still. I went into some kind of TIME warp. It was as if nothing meant anything anymore. I walked outside, looked up to the sky and said, “God I give you my life! Tell me what you want me to do for you and I will do it. I want to make a difference for you on this earth. I want to do what Jesus did and even greater things!”

A voice clearly spoke to me within about one second. I knew that this voice was God. I had never heard that voice before and I had asked Him to “tell me what He wanted me to do for Him”. There is so much to say about what has happened since I could write all day and all night every day and would not be able to do anything else to be able to share the adventures I have had with God since August 1988.

However I can say right now that the next day, I was jogging in the bush (where I lived at that time on a farm in Western Australia) and a voice shouted to me to “STOP”! It was a man’s voice. I stopped and looked around. There was nobody there. I looked down on the ground and a 2 metre Tiger snake (one of the most deadly in Australia) was coming across the road right in front of me!

I had never seen a snake before in my life. The spirit of God poured into me and I was unafraid. I had always believed that if I ever saw a snake in “real life”, (as in not on TV or in a zoo) I would be terrified. I was simply amazed at how the snake moved across the road so effortlessly. As I had never seen a snake move in front of me before, I was in a state of wonder as to the way it just glided along.

This was the confirmation in the outside world, that I had given up my life to God. He had already started to speak immediately inside of me after I gave my life to Him and then next day, He saved my life by shouting to me to stop. If I had gone perhaps another two steps I may have been bitten. Nobody may have even found me for ages as I was out in the bush. When that particular snake bites, a person could be dead within ten minutes.

God led me to give my life to His Son seven years later by bringing me to do the Alpha course. From my experience with churches, Christians and “churchy” type people, without having given my life to God in this way I probably would never have given my life to Lord Jesus. I was so angry about Christianity and Christians. During my life I had experienced so many Christians to be hypocrites, mean and excluding which put me off ever becoming a Christian. For me it is a miracle that I was ever able to give my life to serve Lord Jesus and be filled with the Holy Spirit!

After giving my life to God, but not in the beginning giving my life to Lord Jesus, I had many miracles happen but over a period of time, from coming into a spiritual life the way that I did, I had no spiritual protection, guidance or teaching to be able to live this way. God led me to the only ONE who could help me, His Son! Repenting of my sins (which Lord Jesus asks all people to do) and asking God to forgive me, then giving my life to serve Lord Jesus made THE difference between truly living with my feet on the ground but being able to as Lord Jesus says, “worship in the spirit”.

Lord Jesus said to the Samaritan woman at the well, “But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him.” (John 4:23) When I just stood under the sky and gave God my life, I had no idea what would happen or where this would lead me. I knew that all I wanted to do was do what Lord Jesus said in that one sentence I read from Eileen Caddy. I wanted to do what Jesus “did and even greater things”.

The actual Gospel reads, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” (John 14:12) If had at that time read these words, I doubt I would ever have come to give my life to God. The way the words were written in that moment that if I would obey “God” I could do what Jesus did and even greater things, were perfect for me to give my life to God at that time. I was very into “God” but not Christianity.

Now I KNOW that Lord Jesus is NOT Christianity! He is LORD JESUS, the Son of the one and only God! I don’t just believe this, I know it to my very soul because of what has happened to me on the journey with Lord Jesus, in every second. This is in my daily journey with Him spiritually, but also listening to the Gospels as I drive along in my car.

I don’t know how many times I have listened over and over to all of the Gospels, probably hundreds of times, but I feel I can never get enough of His words! He is for me as He expects to be, my one and “only teacher” (Matthew 23:8). I speak to Him every day as my greatest friend and ask Him any questions I have at any time of the day or night.

When I have been singing and speaking all over the world, I have had many Christians say to me that they have never heard God’s voice. It is interesting to me that in the modern world many people are focused on themselves. Even Christians who would say that they “love” Lord Jesus have shown in one conversation I have had with them, that they really are focused on what they want to do or what they think they should do.

God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit are in the spiritual realms. If you can’t really listen to people in the physical world and you are only into yourself, how are you going to ever hear God’s voice? When I “gave up” my life to serve God, I meant what I said. I really wanted to serve God, so I could be a “healer”. I wasn’t wanting to do that so I could be the most famous healer on the planet. I just wanted to help people. To serve God means you have to give up the “me, my, I” and come to “Father, what do you want me to do for you today”?

Two very different realities. When Lord Jesus asked the disciples what they were talking about “on the road” as they walked along, they said that they were talking about who was the “greatest” among them. Lord Jesus told them a story and asked who was the greatest, the man sitting at the table or the man who “serves”? The disciples all said that the man sitting at the table was the greatest. Lord Jesus said that He came to “serve”. (Luke 22:7)

So the Son of God came to serve. How are you going with being of service? When you give up your life to serve God, there is nothing higher on this earth you can do. God knows us all way beyond what we can ever know of ourselves. He is the only one who knows what we are capable of. He made us in His own image. Why stay living a tiny little life, when you can live the life that God wants for you and be a servant of the creator, His Son and be filled with the Holy Spirit? Jesus commands us to “Stay awake”. What does He mean by these words?

Many people in the world are suffering from anxiety, fear and stress because of the huge impact world wide of the Corona Virus. How should Christians be “reacting” to this situation?

Jesus says that there are only “two” masters, “God and mammon”. Obviously as Christians we must be looking to God and seeking to do His will. If we are really focused on serving the most High God through His son, we should not have any anxiety, fear or stress.

In this podcast there a a few questions to answer at the end which may be of service to all of those who engage with them.

Since the first time I ever read these words of our Lord Jesus, “and no one puts new wine into old wine skins. For the wine would burst the wine skins, and the wine and the skins would both be lost. New wine calls for new wine skins.” (Mark 2:22) I have been asking Him to really help me understand what they mean so that I can apply them in reality.

What He has continued to show me is to come with Him 24/7. So far, this is the only way I have found to be really “new”. What is He showing to you about these words? I heard an explanation of these words in a church service years ago, which did not help me at all.

Jesus continues to show me that I must become a “new wine skin” every day. If I do not keep coming with Him EVERY day, I could fall back easily into my “old” patterns of behaviour, or do what I have been taught to do by the world, or simply not care about learning anything new from my one and only teacher on the earth, out saviour Lord Jesus Christ!

As anyone who knows the Gospels would know, our Lord Jesus says that He is our one and ONLY teacher! “And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah.” MATTHEW 23:10 Does it make total sense to you, that the Son of God is to be our only teacher on this earth?

We can learn many things from people in this world, who have gone ahead of us and have learned things that we do not know. Lord Jesus is the Son of God and the only WAY to our Heavenly Father, so surely we must put Him into that position of authority in our lives? To place Him as our one and “only teacher” makes total sense to me!

This is what He is really commanding us to do, of course for our own “good”. Even the word “good” He speaks about in a way that if we will listen properly to what He is meaning for us to do, we will be set free when He says, “Why do you call me ‘good’, only GOD is good! “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good–except God alone.” (Luke 18:19) When you truly accept that “only God is good”, all you have to do is seek to do God’s will through Lord Jesus and do it!

If you use the power of logic alone you can put together these dots for yourself. Lord Jesus, our one and only teacher on this earth ( about all to do with God, Himself, the Holy Spirit, LIFE and LIVING LIFE to the full) is telling us that we can’t put “new wine into old wine skins”, if we do the old wine skins will “split” and the wine will be lost!

You can start if you like to ask Lord Jesus anytime of the day or night, to teach you personally about what He means with every word He is recorded as saying in the Gospels. What He has shown to me with this Gospel is that I must come with Him, learning all He has to teach me in a day, so that I can stay in the “NEWNESS” which comes automatically from really applying myself to all of His teachings. This takes real love, discipline, commitment, many other qualities and a huge desire to be new every day!

Sound hard to you? Well…Lord Jesus also says that His burdens are light and His yoke is easy! “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke … ³⁰ For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”(Matthew 11:28-30) So yes there is a lot to learn to come with Lord Jesus and receive all of the love, gifts and treasures that our Father, Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit have for us every day but if we will “ask, seek and knock” then He will help us EVERY step of the way and make our “burdens light” and our “yokes easy”! Yahoo I say!

So the next time you want to go back to your OLD ways and be an “old wine skin”, shake yourself quickly, (spiritually speaking) and ask Lord Jesus to help you. If we do not become new “wine skins” to receive all that our Father in Heaven, Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit have for us every day, it will all just pass through us, just like we are an old wine skin, splitting and the precious new wine just comes pouring out onto the ground.

I believe satan fights so hard to make it so hard for humans to just come with our Lord Jesus as a “child”. The devil wants to keep all people enslaved in the “old” us. The “old” us is the way we were brought “up” by the world. Lord Jesus says that there are ONLY two masters, “God and mammon” “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” (Matthew 6:24). We love God and hate mammon, or we love mammon and hate God.

I have been asking Lord Jesus about these words for years. A long time ago, I found a definition of “mammon” which included “the world”. Lord Jesus has shown me that I either follow Him, or I follow the world and the desires of the world. Either I am out to impress God, or I am out to impress people in the world.

I have discovered that most people I have ever met have been almost obsessed with what other people think of them. Any person may immediately say that they don’t care what other people think of them that they just do what they want to do. In terms of what our Lord Jesus says, He says we serve “God OR mammon”. If we say that we do what WE want, how is that serving God? How is that obeying the commands of Lord Jesus?

Which master we serve AND obey, is a huge subject, one which I am very soon to be running workshops about to share what I have been discovering for years, to help me to make sure I am “awake” and really engaged with obeying the commands of our Lord Jesus. He says that if we “love Him we will obey His commands”. If we say we “love” Him and believe in Him but we have never known or bothered to find out about every one of His commands, then how genuine are we as “Christians”?

Lord Jesus says that anyone who “believes” in Him WILL be SAVED. If we SAY we believe in Him but have never bothered to learn about His commands could be in danger of being told, “Get away from me you evil doer, I never knew you”! (Matthew 7:23) It is so important to keep engaging with Lord Jesus as your greatest friend who wants you to be “saved” to come with Him and LIVE with Him forever. He wants us to LIVE. He died on the cross for each one of us to have the opportunity to live “LIFE IN ABUNDANCE”. (John 10:10)

When He tells us that we can’t put “new wine into an old wine skin”, it is so important for us to say to Lord Jesus, “Lord what does this mean to me”? I pray you will be helped immediately to become a “new wine skin” who is capable of receiving and holding all of the new life, gifts, power, purpose and on and on that God Himself wants to give you! Yes YOU!

If you start to engage with His every command and speak with Him as your Father in Heaven, Lord Jesus as your one and only TEACHER and the Holy Spirit your wondrous HELPER and Counselor, you are starting on the most amazing and exciting adventure beyond what any of us can ever imagine.
